G1 is the only intact and in situ hunebed in the province of Groningen, but should be considered to belong to the Drenthe group because of its close proximity to D3 and D4 in Midlaren just to the south. At the edge of a bush overlooking the fields, it is simple but impressive for the size of its large capstones.
