Elegant and compact, D6 is one of the best-preserved hunebedden. Its form made it a favourite of 19th-century painters. Some 4 other hunebedden are believed to lie undiscovered in the immediate area, while xcavations here turned up a treasure trove of flint axes, arrowheads, potsherds and beadwork.
